Afrihyia pa (Happy 2008)

Afrihyia pa (means may another year come back to meet you in my language) Here I am in Atlanta with my twin Amba and family after a marvelous Christmas. Well Amba tightened (and coloured!) my hair and my brother-in-law took some wonderful photos of us, so feelin' cute, I am keeping one of my new year's resolutions to keep this blog more up to date with new photos...enjoy!

You look so radiant with your locks and they are beautiful! Orange is also a great color on you and it compliments the highlights in your hair.

Afrihyia pa! We are enjoying your twin here in Atlanta. She is a true organizer. I would be Akosua in Twi. I DO have a son named Brian Kofi Nelson Herron, however. I have told Amba that I am trying to go to Ghana in 2009. Perhaps we can meet then!

I am so glad I found an African locik wearer :-)!!!

to lock or not to lock...that is the question.

I am Nigerian. My hair is tightly tightly coiled but i really want an afro, but the shrinkage is annoying and I can't keep blowing it out...it breaks constantly...i want sisterlocks but they are sooo small and they would cost a bomb seeing as i have really thick coarse hair...and it make take ages to grow.

Hi Ama! I went straight to your blog because my daughter has a doll named Ama. My husband is Ghanian, from Accra, and gave her the name for one her dolls. Anyway, I am very interested in Sisterlocks and am doing some research on the process and lifestyle of having locks. Yours are beautiful and your blog gives me more inspiration in regards to my desire to be free and natural with my hair.
